All Ohio History Day supporters and friends, please read the letter below from Cathy Gorn, Executive Director of NHD, and write to the History Channel to thank them for their support of the National History Day program. The History Channel supports the program at all levels and makes it possible for you to participate! If you do choose to write a letter to the History Channel, please be sure to send a copy to Cathy Gorn addressed to the address that is provided at the bottom of the letter for their files.
Thanks! Hope you are all having a wonderful summer!

The History Channel is a strong supporter of NHD and has been a sponsor since 1994. It is one of the few funders that gives general operating support, in addition to several program-specific grants. While I expect its sponsorship to continue, there have been some changes at the executive level there, so I think it would be a good idea to let the new head of The History Channel know how much The History Channel's support matters.

Would you be willing to write a note of thanks? If so, the letter can be a general thanks for the support, but you might include a brief anecdote about your involvement with NHD in Ohio.

Please send the letter to:

Nancy Dubuc

Executive Vice President & General Manager, History

Please send a copy to me for our files.

Thanks for your help.
