Greetings History Day Scholars! It is time once again to feature a Research Hot Spot for the month of July. The second research Hot Spot is the Dayton Metro Library! This public library has 20 different branches in addition to the main library throughout the Dayton metro area. The Dayton Metro Library is a great starting place for some local research. The library owns several special collections from the Wright Brothers to the Great Dayton Flood of 1913 and even a collection on Women's Suffrage and the League of Women Voters. The Library also features several exhibits on their special collection topics. In addition to the collections the Dayton Metro Library has an extensive research services team to get help both online or at the library. So go check it out! I hope your summer has been full of fun and learning. Here in the History Day office it is hard to believe it is almost August! Can't wait to see you all in the fall! Happy researching!
