Greetings History Day Scholars!
State history Day is fast approaching! Have you turned in your registration for State History Day yet? We've been busy busy here in the History Day office but no worries we still have time for questions if you've got them! I am sure you have all been working diligently to clean up those projects for State. Read over your judges comments from districts and see if there are any suggestion for change that the judges wrote down and discuss them with your teacher. Have some peers, parents, teachers etc. look over your projects to double check for spelling and grammar errors. Don't forget to make an emergency project fix kit! especially for exhibits! in a small box or ziploc bag put in a glue stick, velcro, tape etc. This kind of kit is also good for performances, you could include safety pins, needle and thread an scissors just in case a costume is falling apart. You could also include glue or tape if you have a backdrop or a set that may need some touch up. Documentaries can also make an emergency kit with extra copies of your documentary and a laptop if you have access to one just in case the DVD decides not to work. All projects should carry a folder with plenty of extra copies of process papers as another precautionary step. Even if you are not moving on to State History Day there is always next year. All of you History Day students out there do a fantastic job(in fact most better than what I've seen college students do!)You all make History and History Day Rock!
Congratulations to you all!
