Greetings History Buffs!
Here we are in the midst of History Day District Contest season. Things are plenty busy here in the History Day office. It is so wonderful to finally get to see all of your projects and hard work coming together and to finally start putting faces with names! Those of you that have been to contest already, and those waiting patiently for their district contest to commence, Congratulations to all on your research and wonderful performances, documentaries and exhibits. Every single one of you should be proud of the work you have done. Most of the skills you are learning through participation in History Day some of us didn't learn until college, you will be just that much more prepared when you make that transition from grade school to your college years and have one step up on many of your peers. Regardless if you are moving on to the State History Day Competition in May you should be proud of the work you have completed and what you have learned. No one can judge you for the amount of information you have learned and what history you have experienced first hand! You will only learn more and become better prepared to participate in future History Day events by learning from the judge's evaluations of your projects. Here in the History Day office, if you ever have any questions we are always here to help on your journey into history. We are looking forward to seeing the rest of your projects and hard work on display as the month continues and looking forward to seeing all of you return to participate in History Day again next year.
